Serving our Veterans!

Jim Chally and Carl Steude are both veterans and continue to serve their country and fellow veterans through volunteer service with the Legacy Corps Program. The Legacy Corps Program provides in-home, one-on-one companionship respite to veterans and military families.

Jim Chally has been providing one-on-one respite to veterans for over four years. He has worked with many of the same families for multiple years, becoming a trusted dependable and honorary ‘family member’.  Jim is a board member of the non-profit Alzheimer’s Idaho, and a recipient of the 2017 Spirit of Freedom Award recognized by Senator Crapo.

Carl Steude has retired twice; once from the US Army, once from the Canyon County Sheriff’s department.  He is in his second year as a Legacy Corps member, and has brought a passion for service that is contagious! Carl has provided consistent companionship to several families through his service, and has a gift for making any meeting a fun time!

Camp Rainbow Gold

This group of people serve Idaho's children diagnosed with cancer.  Camp Rainbow Gold, including its summer programs, provides nearly hundreds of cancer survivors with an escape from the rigors of their illness.

Please come and hear about this wonderful organization.

Yes, David Udkyke was a great Sheriff, one small problem, he was crooked as a dogs hind leg!  Come listen to Walt Adams, a local historian tell about this colorful figure in Idaho law enforcements past.
