Still Needed - Host family for Rotary Youth Exchange Student
Do you know a family that lives in the Capital HS boundary that is willing to host an exchange student for the 2017-2018 school year? If you or someone you know is interested, please follow up with Michael Barker at mbarker4874@gmail.com.

Save the Date - Highway Clean-Up April 30th!
We are planning to do our biannual clean up on Highway 55 on Sunday, April 30th from 10-2pm. We will meet at Hilltop Station and there will likely be a stop back there for a cold beverage.
 
 
 
International Week of Service - March 25-31, 2017

The International Week of Service is a chance for service organizations around the globe to partner with one another to make a big difference in their communities.

Participating is easy! Invite another local service organization to help with your previously scheduled service project during the last week of March, or start working with an organization and plan an event together. Make sure to share all your photos and stories with us below and on social media by using the hashtag: #WeekofService2017”

Save the Date - Boise River Greenbelt Project
Plans are moving forward with the addition of the Rotary Greenbelt Project. There is a tentative schedule to have a Kick Off Party on April 1st at Telaya Winery for a family friendly bicycle ride. Bricks will also go on sale that day with the options as noted:
4x8 Brick with 3 lines of text $50
8x8 Brick with 5 lines of text $75
8x8 Brick with 3 lines of text and Rotary wheel $95
 
We will be hosting the Informational Lemonade stand on Saturday April 22nd in 2 shifts, 11-2pm and 2-5 pm to sell t-shirts, educate the public and sell those bricks. Michela will send out a survey to see which weekend is best in May.
District Conference coming to Sun Valley
Raffle Tickets are available for sale from your local Rotarian. Funds raised will support Rotary Programming throughout Southern Idaho. The tickets are $10 each and the grand prize is a travel voucher through AAA valued at ~$4000. There will be several other prizes yet to be named. Please contact Chase Erkins at chase@lee-associates.com if you are interested in purchasing.
 
Please plan ahead for District Conference to be held on May 19-20 in Sun Valley.

"Give Me Shelter" - A Night with Interfaith Sanctuary
The Record Exchange will be holding an event in support of Interfaith Sanctuary in preparation for Idaho Gives. It will be on Thursday, April 6th from 6-8pm. They will be debuting their new promotional video and have a variety of performers in support of the work they do in the community.
Giraffe Laugh Annual Bowl-A-Thon April 22, 2017
Giraffe Laugh is hosting their Annual Bowl-A-Thon on April 22 at Westy's Garden Lanes. We already know what a great organization this is and they are still accepting teams. Anyone up for an afternoon of bowling and supporting our favorite early leaning center??

The Mission of the Idaho Humane Society is to advocate for the welfare and responsible care of animals, protect them from neglect and cruelty, and promote humane education, awareness and compassion.

The mission for Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
 
Encouraged Items: Interview appropriate suits and blouses, Profession al separates (slacks, blouses, dressers, jackets, etc.), work appropriate shoes, accessories and handbags (briefcases, portfolios and work appropriate handbags.)
