Boise Centennial Rotary for April 27, 2017
Updating Your Info In Club Runner Is Easier Than You Think!
This is a great opportunity for one and all to ensure all your contact information is up to date in Club Runner which is our direct link to Rotary International. As you peruse the site you may find something you never new. Please give it a try with the instructions provided!
 
1) Go to our website.
 
2) Locate and click on the "Member Area" in the upper right hand corner
 
3) Log in with your username and password
 
4) Click on the "Membership" Tab
 
5) Click on "Member List" on the sub-list that populates after clicking on "Membership"
 
6) Click on your name.
 
7) Select "Edit" and proceed to update all data fields that are not correct. Please be sure to "Save" once completed. You can find your Rotary number under the Rotary Tab.
Don't Forget - Highway Clean-Up April 30th!
We are planning to do our biannual clean up on Highway 55 on Sunday, April 30th from 10-2pm. We will meet at Hilltop Station at 9:45am and there will likely be a stop back there for a cold beverage.
 
 
 
Rotary Night at the Zoo - Thursday, May 4th 5:30-8:30
Enjoy a special private evening for Rotarians, family and friends to experience Zoo Boise.  In addition to viewing the animals on a beautiful spring evening without the crowds, you will have a chance to feed the giraffes, walk with the wallabies, learn about Rotary's global grant for mobile clinics in Mozambique and plans for Zoo Boise's innovative Gorongosa National Park Exhibit.  Food and drinks will be available. Tickcts are $20 per person and $10 for childern 16 and under.  All proceeds go towards the Rotary Gorongosa Global Grant and Zoo Boise's Gorongosa National Park Partnership.
 
The focus of this year' s Rotary global grant is on tranport for and training of health workers to reach thousands of people living in poor remote villages around Gorongosa so they can receive basic mdical services. The new exhibit at Zoo Boise will support the conservation of animals in Gorongosa National Park. See Idaho Public Television's documentary The Idaho Gorongosa Connection at www.idahoptv.org.
 
Please RSVP to your local Rotary Club President or Secretary.  We will need a head count by April 29.

May 2017 Board Meeting
The May Board Meeting is to be held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 5:30 pm in the Quiet Bar at The Riverside. Please join us!!

District Conference coming to Sun Valley
Raffle Tickets are available for sale from your local Rotarian. Funds raised will support Rotary Programming throughout Southern Idaho. The tickets are $10 each and the grand prize is a travel voucher through AAA valued at ~$4000. There will be several other prizes yet to be named. Please contact Chase Erkins at chasee@lee-associates.com if you are interested in purchasing.
 
Please plan ahead for District Conference to be held on May 19-20 in Sun Valley.

ROTARY PARK ON THE GREENBELT - Commemorative Bricks
Rotary is building a park along the last stretch of Greenbelt and selling commemorative bricks.
 
 
Greenbelt lovers will jump at the opportunity to create a legacy to show their enthusiasm for the Greenbelt. Boise knows the Greenbelt is one of the things that makes Boise a special place! The mission for Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
 
Encouraged Items: Interview appropriate suits and blouses, Profession al separates (slacks, blouses, dressers, jackets, etc.), work appropriate shoes, accessories and handbags (briefcases, portfolios and work appropriate handbags.)
